Exposure to an array of physical activities including gymnastics, rock climbing, slack lining, dance, obstacle courses, yoga, group games and more. Emphasis is placed on being playful and curious while discovering all the different ways in which our body can move. Hard work and supporting one another are emphasized through team challenges and goal setting. There are weekly fun and engaging themes including American Ninja Warrior, Super Hero, Under the Big Top, Jedi Training and more!

WEEK 1 June 22 – 26: American Ninja Warrior 

During “American Ninja Warrior” week, we will combine gymnastics and acrobatics to channel our inner ninjas! We will roll, tumble, and jump through a variety of obstacle courses designed to test our strength and flexibility. Students should come prepared for lots of fitness and friendly competition!

WEEK 2 June 29 July 3: Wizard School 

Calling all young wizards! You are cordially invited to the finest magic school in South Philadelphia! Grab your wand and explore the secret passageways of InMovement Castle, learn to play magical games, cast spells, train and ride mythical creatures, and solve ancient puzzles!

WEEK 3 July 6 – 10: Under The Big Top

In this week of camp, students will roll, twist, and go upside down! We will focus on strengthening our bodies and becoming more flexible through activities such as acrobatics, partner yoga, aerial silks and trapeze!

WEEK 4 July 13 – 17: Jedi Training

During this week of enrichment camp, we will focus on gymnastics and acrobatics to channel the force. Join us as we tumble through the galaxy, strengthen balance and coordination, and practice our Jedi moves. This week is perfect for the budding Luke Skywalkers and future Princess Leias.

WEEK 5 July 20 – 24: Super Hero

Unleash your inner hero and create your own super character this week at camp. Join us to swing, fly, and hone our super powers as we work together to fight boredom and conquer our movement fears.

WEEK 6 July 27 – 31: Let the Games Begin

Put me in, coach! Team up with us for a week of sports basics and friendly competition! Activities will draw on skills from baseball, soccer, basketball, frisbee, and more with a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship.

WEEK 7 August 3 – 7: Move Your Body

This week at camp will be all about getting our bodies moving in new ways! We will work on musicality, coordination, and dance styles, all with an eye towards fitness and the ways that balance and agility are important for all sports and physical activities.

WEEK 8 August 10 – 14: Treasure Island

X marks the spot! During this action packed week of camp, we’ll run with pirates, swim with mermaids, and tumble onto the beaches of Treasure Island. We’ll increase our strength and work in teams as we explore, hunting for treasure along the way.

WEEK 9 August 17 – 21: Time Travelers

Hop in our time machine and buckle up as we head into the past to learn and move through different civilizations! We’ll catch dinosaurs, build pyramids, climb mount Olympus, sail with Vikings, ride through the wild west, and even check out the future!

WEEK 10 August 24 – 28: American Ninja Warrior

During intensive weeks, the primary focus will be on diving deep into technique and practicig skills! We will work on current and new skills, as well as on conditioning and flexibility. Students will participate in camp activities such as lunch at the park, yoga, games, etc. but will devote most of the day to gymnastics or aerial.

Learn to fly in our Aerial Circus Intensive camp! We will explore apparatuses such as Silks, Lyra (hoop), Hammock and Dance Trapeze and delve into Dance Fundamentals, Acro Yoga, Yoga, basic Tumbling, Flexibility and Contortion.

We will start each day with energetic warm-ups to prepare student’s mind and body for the climbing, inverting, spinning, and flying. Students will move through core disciplines in small groups, then work together on team building and strategy. Students will participate in camp activities such as lunch at the park, games, etc. but most of the day will be devoted to aerials.

Throughout the week, students will work together to create a small aerial performance to present for family and friends on Friday.

Summer Workshop Series

Philly InMovement’s Summer Workshop Series will allow students to try new and exciting movement-based classes, such as Acro Dance, Tricking, Contortion, and more!  These workshops will run during our summer camp hours so that campers can choose to add on a workshop to their day. But don’t worry, you don’t have to be registered for summer camp to participate in our workshops!  Students are welcome to drop in for the week and participate in the two-hour workshop without attending the full day of camp. Come learn some cool, new skills and get moving at our Summer Workshop Series!

Held at our Bella Vista location, our weekly Kinder Camp was developed with a younger child in mind. Experienced and nurturing teachers take them through the same themes as our School Aged Enrichment Camp, but with an early childhood approach that uses play and imagination to help gain coordination and physical confidence. Young campers are exposed to weekly theme by a variety of structured activities in our gym area including games, gymnastics, dance, yoga and obstacle courses, as well as periods of unstructured, child directed play. Our front room area is where we relax and have down time by doing crafts, reading books, playing games, eating snack and lunch and having quiet rest time. Outdoor fun includes spending time in our self contained back yard with water activities, sensory play, picnics and sidewalk chalk, as well as trips to Seger Park Playground and Sprayground. *Please note all kinder campers must be potty trained to attend full and half day camps, kids under 4 may only participate in half day camps!”

  • Snack & Lunch
    • Each camper will need his or her own energy-packed nutritious lunch. Please refrain from packing junk-food and high sugar foods, as this is not long-lasting fuel for an exercise filled day. There is NO refrigerator available to store lunches.
    • Please plan to pack extra snacks for your kiddos if they are enrolled in extra care or intensive!
  • Clothing
    • Practice clothes (gym-shorts and T-shirt or leotard, tights are okay if footless)
    • Change of clothing
    • Water Bottle
    • Sneakers
    • Flip flops or sandals
    • Bathing suit & towel
    • Sun block & sun hat
    • Please do not send any toys or equipment with your child. Jewelry is not allowed in the studio. Earrings must be studs or similar. Hair needs to be pulled back for safety reasons. InMovement is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
    • Depending on the week, we may have a rest period during Kinder Camp. If your child has an item from home they want to bring with them to help facilitate quiet time (blanket, stuffed animal, book) please send it in their bag!

  • School aged campers typically walk to Starr Garden on 6th and Lombard or Weccacoe at 4th and Catharine for lunch and outdoor activities.
  • Kinder campers typically walk to Seger park at 10th and Lombard or Palumbo at 10th and Fitzwater.
  • Throughout the week, we do outdoor play and water activities around our facilities.
  • On Fridays, school aged campers go to the 2nd & Reed Water Park or 4th and Washington Pool via Septa Bus.

  • Enrichment and Intensive Camps: Every Friday, beginning promptly at 3:30pm, we put on an informal show displaying what the campers have learned during the week. Families are encouraged to attend.

  • DROP-OFF: Please arrive no more than 10 minutes prior to the start of camp. Please sign in at the front desk and follow all staff instructions for placing belongings in cubbies/wagons. Before care students of all ages should be dropped at our Kenilworth St. location at 8AM. All other kiddos should be dropped at the location of their camp at 9AM.
  • PICK-UP:  Campers are only released to parents or guardians authorized for pick up on camp participation form. If your child is being picked up or going home with someone other than yourself and they are not on our authorized pick up list, we ask that you send an email or let us know when you drop off. Students MUST remain inside the lobby until a parent/guardian comes inside. Campers must be signed out at the front desk.
