Flip, twist, move, and groove your way through summer with us at inMovment! Camp may look a little different this year but that won’t stop us from learning new skills, meeting new friends, and creating lasting memories. Our new camp schedule will run from July 6th to August 28th. inMovement will be offering both In-Person Kinder & School-Aged Camp as well as the all new Virtual School-Aged Camp!

Given the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve made necessary changes to our summer camp curriculum, safety procedures, and protocols in order to ensure the safety of all individuals taking part in our summer program. Please click HERE to read the safety measures we are implementing.
REGISTER FOR CAMP TODAY!

Families who enroll their campers before June 24th, 2020 will be allowed to pay 25% of their tuition in order to secure the spot. After June 24th, 2020 all families will be asked to pay their full tuition in order to secure a camp spot for their child (all families who had paid 25% of their camp tuition will have the remaining balance charged on their card on this day).

New Summer Camp enrollment will be available to the public on June 26th, 2020. Email us to be placed on our email list and receive announcements as soon as registration opens.

In-Person Camp

Kinder Camp

Monday to Friday: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Staggered Drop Off: 8:30am to 9:30am
Staggered Pick Up: 3:30pm to 4:30pm
Price/Week: $425, sibling $400

Held at our Bella Vista Location, our weekly Kinder Camp will be involved in weekly themes that will help strengthen coordination and physical confidence using their imaginations. Young campers will be involved in structured activities throughout the gym area including games, gymnastics, dance, yoga, and obstacle courses. Our front lobby area will be used for downtime activities such as arts and crafts, reading, and snack time. We will also use our contained backyard for sidewalk chalk, gardening, and experiments to match the weekly theme.

*Please note: all kinder campers must be potty trained to attend and there is no more half-day kinder camp; all after camp care is suspended as well. However, we have extended camp hours to take over the time slot that aftercare normally occurs. Please email us at info@phillyinmovement.com to receive the sibling discount. School-Aged Camp

Monday to Friday 9:30 am to 4:30 pm
Staggered Drop Off: 8:30am to 9:30am

Held at our Queen Village location, our weekly School-Aged Camp will involve movement-based skills, collaborative games, coordination challenges, and so much more! Campers will follow a loosely structured schedule that includes warm up, gymnastics, dance, yoga, and obstacle courses. The backroom will be used for downtime activities such as arts and crafts, reading, and snack time.

For Kinder and School-Age Camp: click through each week to learn more about our camp themes!

In this week of camp, students will roll, twist, and go upside down! We will focus on strengthening our bodies and becoming more flexible through activities such as acrobatics, partner yoga, aerial silks, and trapeze!

During this week of enrichment camp, we will focus on gymnastics and acrobatics to channel the force. Join us as we tumble through the galaxy, strengthen balance and coordination, and practice our Jedi moves. This week is perfect for the budding Luke Skywalkers and future Princess Leias.

Unleash your inner hero and create your own super character this week at camp. Join us to swing, fly, and hone our super powers as we work together to fight boredom and conquer our movement fears.

Put me in, coach! Team up with us for a week of sports basics and friendly competition! Activities will draw on skills from baseball, soccer, basketball, frisbee, and more with a focus on teamwork and sportsmanship.

This week at camp will be all about getting our bodies moving in new ways! We will work on musicality, coordination, and dance styles, all with an eye towards fitness and the ways that balance and agility are important for all sports and physical activities.

X marks the spot! During this action-packed week of camp, we’ll run with pirates, swim with mermaids, and tumble onto the beaches of Treasure Island. We’ll increase our strength and work in teams as we explore, hunting for treasure along the way.

Hop in our time machine and buckle up as we head into the past to learn and move through different civilizations! We’ll catch dinosaurs, build pyramids, climb mount Olympus, sail with Vikings, ride through the wild west, and even check out the future!

During our “American Ninja Warrior” week, we will combine gymnastics and acrobatics to channel our inner ninjas! We will roll, tumble, and jump through a variety of obstacle courses designed to test our strength and flexibility. Students should come prepared for lots of fitness and friendly competition!

We will also be offering our Gymnastics Intensive camp. They follow the same weekly schedule as enrichment camp, but the focus is on gymnastics and skill-building. Below are our general guidelines to help you figure out which intensive is best for your kiddo:

  • Our Beginner Gymnastics Intensive is open to any student who can demonstrate a serious focus on the sport and is committed to building a strong gymnastics foundation (recommended for Intro/Gym 1 students).
  • Our Intermediate Gymnastics Intensive is open to students who have taken a Gym 2 or Gym 3 class at InMovement in the last 6 months. If you have not taken one of these classes in the past 6 months, please call (267) 239-0844 to schedule an assessment!
  • Our Advanced Gymnastics Intensive is open to our current students on Pre-Team or Team. If your child does not regularly attend InMovement but are at Pre-Team/Team level at another gym, please call (267) 239-0844 to schedule an assessment!

Health and Safety Notes

To ensure the safest environment for all, we have made some changes and updates due to the current climate. 

Staggered Drop Off & Pick Up with implemented COVID-19 guidelines:
  • Temperature reading.
  • Asking if the child has any of the following symptoms:
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fever
    • Chills
    • Muscle pain (beyond expected soreness)
    • Sore throat
    • New loss of taste or smell

If your child appears to be generally sick, they will be confined to an area away from other children but safely and comfortably within our facility until their parent/guardian comes to pick them up (said guardian will be called immediately when their child begins to experience any symptoms of sickness). If your child has a fever, is vomiting, has diarrhea or has mucus that is thick and dark in color or if they have active lice or signs of pink eye they will be sent home immediately. The same rules will apply to our staff in order to not pass illness within the group. Children will need to use hand sanitizer before eating inside or in the park and will be taught and encouraged to wash their hands after using the restroom and regularly throughout the day.

Note: Parents/Guardians are OBLIGATED to inform us if they or their child(s) have experienced any of the symptoms above. We will ask the same symptom questions to our adults before allowing the child to enter into the building. inMovement has made the necessary changes to our summer camp curriculum, safety procedures, and protocols in order to ensure the safety of all individuals taking part in our summer program. We have shaped our summer program around CDC Guidelines as well as the “Guidelines for Summer Camps During the COVID-19 Pandemic” handbook provided by the City of Philadelphia. Be sure your student arrives during your specified drop-off time. We will be extra particular about scheduled drop off times in order to minimize any mixing of students who are in different groups. Students will be checked-in outside by a staff member who will verify their registration on their attendance sheet. Upon completing their attendance, the student will then be asked to take a forehead thermometer test to ensure the child does not exhibit any symptoms of fever.

The staff member will ask the parent if the child has any of the following symptoms: cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and/or new loss of taste or smell.

Upon completing this test, the child will then be given hand sanitizer and then escorted into the lobby where they may put their belongings in a cubby as normal. Parents will NOT be allowed to enter the lobby/building unless there is a medical emergency (again, in an effort to minimize exposure).

If your child has a fever or is visibly sick, they will not be permitted into the building. In accordance with CDC guidelines, we will be taking every precaution we can to prevent any exposure of COVID-19 to children or staff. Upon student drop off,  if we detect a child has an abnormally high temperature and or appears visibly sick we will not permit said child into the building for the safety of our other campers and staff. We will NOT be able to allow said child to attend any future camp sessions until they receive a full detailed report from their primary doctor stating they have either tested negative or have waited three weeks at minimum before returning to our facility.

Our staff will be required to wear a mask at all times. With campers, we will strongly encourage mask-wearing as much as possible throughout the day. You will be asked to send your child with two masks. We will provide elastic cords that can be tied to masks to help keep them secure and near them at all times.

Please send a labeled water bottle with your child! We have water fountains available on both floors of the gym however we can’t stress the importance of bringing water bottles enough for this session considering the COVID-19 outbreak. The safest way to reduce cross-contamination is to have your child drink from their designated water bottle from home.

Beyond limiting campers direct exposure with other campers from other groups, we will also be pairing teachers with a consistent group of students to limit exposure. Teachers will only directly interact with students within their predetermined groups and will refrain from interacting with other children in other groups with the exception of medical or physical emergencies.

In an effort to keep all of our children safe and healthy we have dramatically ramped up our cleaning procedures. There will be 4 staff members in the building every day who are specifically dedicated to cleaning the lobby, gym equipment, tables, bathrooms, and any other surfaces in which our students interact with throughout the day. All surfaces used for camp by campers will be cleaned and sanitized prior to other groups entering the communal space as well as after their time in said space has been completed.

We will have our facilities air conditioners running throughout the day as usual but will open windows periodically throughout the day to further ventilate certain areas before and after camp activities. We apologize if this results in slightly warmer temperatures throughout the day however we will do everything we can to provide a comfortable environment for all campers during their planned activities.


Aerial Summer Camp

YOUR CHILD WILL FLY THIS SUMMER: AERIALS HAVE COME TO iNMOVEMENT!
We will be offering Aerial Summer Camp with Miss Eugenia at our Queen Village location.

Week 1: July 20th – July 24th / Week 2: July 27th – 31st

This is an intensive week where your child will learn the correct technique to perform aerials. Your child will explore apparatuses such as Silks, Lyra (hoop), Hammock, and Dance Trapeze. Other disciplines that complement this art will also be covered like Dance Fundamentals, Acro Yoga, Yoga, basic Tumbling, Flexibility, and Contortion.

Through aerials arts in a safe environment, we strive to teach your child: confidence, team building, strength, coordination, balance, determination, perseverance, creativity, technique, vocabulary, choreography, performance, spatial awareness, and risk-taking!

We will start each day with energetic warm-ups to prepare student’s minds and bodies for the climbing, inverting, spinning, and flying that we’ll do throughout the day. Students are then placed into groups to move through our core disciplines. Afterward, students will be brought back together for activities that require team building and strategy.

InMovement cancellation policy:

There is a $50 cancellation fee per week, per child. The cancellation fee per week, per child will be placed as available credit to your inMovement account if you cancel from now to June 29th. 

After June 29th all cancellations will be charged a $50 per week, per child cancellation fee. The remaining balance will then be refunded to your credit card.

48 hours or less notice for that week and refund will not be given.

What happens if my kid shows up to camp feeling ill?2020-06-15T18:35:08-04:00

If your child has a fever or is visibly sick, they will not be permitted into the building. In accordance with CDC guidelines we will be taking every precaution we can to prevent any exposure of COVID-19 to children or staff. Upon camper drop off,  if we detect a child has an abnormally high temperature and or appears visibly sick we will not permit said child into the building for the safety of our other campers and staff. We will NOT be able to allow said child to attend any future camp sessions until they receive a full detailed report from their primary doctor stating they have either tested negative or have waited three weeks at minimum before returning to our facility.

If your child appears to exhibit any COVID-19 symptoms we will immediately quarantine them within our staff room and immediately call a parent to retrieve the child.

There is a $50 cancellation fee per week, per child. The cancellation fee per week, per child will be placed as available credit to your inMovement account if you cancel from now through June 29th, 2020.

If 48 hours or less notice is given for that week, a refund will not be given. 

Refund Exceptions: Exceptions can be made to policy for cancellations due to illness, injury or other unavoidable circumstances at inMovement’s discretion.

Campers who arrive late for summer camp by 30 minutes or more will NOT be allowed to enter the building unless we receive advanced notice of their late arrival.

Parents will NOT be allowed to enter the lobby/building unless there is a medical emergency (again, in an effort to minimize exposure).

Staggered drop off means every camper will be given a window of time they are instructed to be dropped off depending on your child’s group. Be sure your camper arrives during your specified drop-off time. We will be extra particular about scheduled drop off times in order to minimize any mixing of campers who are in different groups. We will be offering no additional classes this summer beyond summer camp. Any missed summer camps days can NOT be made up during this time.

What is your water bottle policy in relation to COVID-19?2020-06-15T18:08:00-04:00

Please send a labeled water bottle with your child! Alternatively we will have new water bottles for any campers who fail to bring their own. While our water fountains will remain operable, only designated staff will be able to refill water bottles when needed in order to minimize the touching of buttons. The safest way to reduce cross contamination is to have your child drink from their designated water bottle from home.

What is your Teacher to Camper ratio?2020-06-15T18:06:35-04:00

Beyond limiting campers direct exposure with other campers from other groups, we will also be pairing teachers with a consistent group of campers to limit exposure. USGA notes 1 Teacher for every 6 campers under 8 years old and 1 Teacher for every 8 campers for children above 8 years old. To be on the side of precaution, we have decided to limit our ratio to 1 Teacher for every 6 campers. Teachers will only directly interact with campers within their predetermined groups and will refrain from interacting with other children in other groups with the exception of medical or physical emergencies. Teachers will refrain from direct contact with students unless absolutely necessary.

What does the ventilation look like at your facilities?2020-06-15T18:02:17-04:00

We will have our facilities air conditioners running throughout the day as usual but we will also have the windows open with fans directed at the windows in order to further ventilate certain areas before and after camp activities. We apologize if this results in slightly warmer temperatures throughout the day however we will do everything we can to provide a comfortable environment for all campers during their planned activities.

What cleaning procedures are in place to preserve the health and safety of my child?2020-06-15T17:59:36-04:00

In an effort to keep all of our children safe and healthy we have dramatically ramped up our cleaning procedures. There will be select staff members in the building every day who are specifically dedicated to cleaning the lobby, gym equipment, tables, bathrooms, and any other surfaces in which our campers interact with throughout the day. All surfaces and mats used for camp by campers will be cleaned with sanitizers that have been FDA approved to kill COVID-19.

Bathrooms in particular will be cleaned and sanitized after every use.

There will be hand sanitizing stations throughout the facility and campers will be continuously asked to use them. At the end of every day we will fog the entire facility.

Yes. We will be doing our best to enforce a safe distance (at least 6 feet) between each child and the coaches. This means that coaching will be non-contact unless there is a reason to intervene.

Per the PA State and CDC Covid-19 guidelines, everyone will be asked to wear a mask to ensure the health and safety of others. Our staff will be required to wear a mask at all times. We ask that all of our parents/guardians send their child with 2 masks. We will provide elastic cords that can be tied to masks to help keep them secure and near them at all times.
