SUMMER CAMP 2017

Summer Camp
Ages 5- 12 years: Exposure to an array of physical activities including gymnastics, rock climbing, slack lining, dance, obstacle courses, yoga, group games and more. Emphasis is placed on being playful and curious while discovering all the different ways in which our body can move. Hard work and supporting one another are emphasized through team challenges and goal setting.

Weekly Themes:

July 10 – 14: American Ninja Warrior: 
During “American Ninja Warrior” week, we will combine gymnastics and acrobatics to channel our inner ninjas! We will roll, tumble, and jump through a variety of obstacle courses designed to test our strength and flexibility. Students should come prepared for lots of fitness and friendly competition! All levels welcome.

July 17 – 21: Head Over Heels: 
This week will be all about gymnastics with a focus on our basics. Students will learn gymnastics skills on the vault, bars, beam, and floor, while focusing on handstands, cartwheels, and rolls. These gymnastics fundamentals are crucial for success in the sport, and all levels of gymnasts must continue to work on these skills throughout their careers. This will be a great place for beginners to start and for advanced gymnasts to perfect their form and technique! All levels welcome.

July 24 – 28: Jedi Training:
During this week of enrichment camp, we will focus on gymnastics and acrobatics to channel the force. Join us as we tumble through the galaxy, strengthen balance and coordination, and hone our Jedi moves. This week is perfect for the budding Luke Skywalkers and future Princess Leias.

July 31 – August 4: Under The Big Top:
In this week of camp, students will roll, twist, and go upside down! We will focus on strengthening our bodies and becoming more flexible through activities such as acrobatics, partner yoga, rope climbing and trapeze! 

August 7 – 11: Super Hero:
Unleash your inner hero and create your own super character this week at camp. Join us as we swing, fly, and hone our super powers as we work together to fight boredom and conquer our movement fears.

August 14 – 18: Move Your Body:
This week at camp will be all about getting our bodies moving in new ways! We will work on musicality, coordination, and dance styles, all with an eye towards fitness and the ways that balance and agility are important for all sports and physical activities. All levels welcome.

August 21 – 25: Mission Impossible:
This week we’ll work in teams to solve puzzles and complete missions. Train with us on our path to become secret agents as we dodge obstacles and tumble over barriers on our way to the finish line.

August 28 – September 1: Best of the Best:
For our last week of camp, students will learn the elements of gymnastics through safe and proper technique. We will explore the fundamentals of tumbling, beam, bars and vault. Students develop strength and flexibility through stretching and dancing activities. Hard work and supporting one another are emphasized through team challenges and a motivational reward system.

Refund Policy: Full refunds are given for a cancellation prior to 30 days before your scheduled week of camp. After that refunds are put into InMovement account minus a $50 inconvenience fee.
